Re: TRX2a Serial Problem
I noticed that I have software version 1.05 in my TRX2. My dsPIC still has the 1.05 label on it and I was able to flash it via RS232 to 1.07something right from there, so that can't be the root cause of your problems. I do know that my serial type JDM style PIC programmer can connect via ICSP and ...

Re: TRX2a Serial Problem
"It only times out if the host boot loader isn't trying to connect when I power up." Thanks - good info. That confirms what I was thinking, that the host is somehow not communicating with the USB-Serial adapter even though HyperTerm does. That could well be. The Ingenia boot loader does not like my ...

Re: TRX2a Serial Problem
That is interesting. If I hold VFO and turn on the TRX2 while the host boot loader is trying to connect, the TRX2 stays in the Flash Writer mode even after the host boot loader would report that Error -5 and I have terminated it. It stays there until I disconnect power. It only times out if the host ...

Re: TRX2a Serial Problem
First: Did you replace the ibl_dspiclist.xml file according to the JUMA-TRX2 Boot loader documentation? Second: I have similar problems here using a Syba 34mm ExpressCard, which basically is a USB->Serial based on a Prolific chip set. On the first try the Ingenia boot loader usually responds with ...

Re: Juma TRX2 Firmware Version 1.07x
Awesome work! I like the new CW/CWR mode operation. The only thing missing would be a way to toggle between CW and CWR (instead of having to skip through all the other modes). That would make zero beating a carrier easier. What do you think about moving the "Copy -> VFOA" function from Long-MODE to ...

Re: Reducing power output of TRX2
Adrian, thank you for your quick reply. I guess my R28 was a little off. Now I can use the internal attenuator just fine to adjust between 5W and 10W. That's perfect. I would certainly give the new 1.07x firmware a try. While at it, first a big THANK YOU for doing all that custom firmware work ...

Reducing power output of TRX2
The nominal power output of the TRX2(A) is specified as 10W. Many QRP clubs require power output not to exceed 5W.
Is it possible to lower the transmit power somehow through the configuration? I'm currently running firmware v1.07u.
Regards,
Jan

Re: Possible mistake in TRX2 Main Board voltage table
Thanks for confirming that.
IC2 is actually listed 3 times in that table. I was referring to the second to last line under
"Conditions: Transmit state, Mode CW, f = 3.7 MHz, Filter WID, AGC slow, Speechproc OFF, NB OFF, MIC input, dummy load"

Possible mistake in TRX2 Main Board voltage table
Hello, after many months not being able to work on it, I finally finished my TRX2A. This is my first HF radio. A little trouble with the forum sign up (thanks for fixing that Matti) actually gave me time to double check all the Filter and Main Board voltages and (of course) find the two OP-AMPs that ...
