Re: Burned C18 on my PA100-D
Hi, Here are some feedback about this issue. The fact I use a end feeded wire antenna, the SWR an some bands are not like 1:1. Some have 1:2 or 1:3. To overcome burned capacitors in the future, I decided to replace all of them with mica types rated for 500V. Unfortunately they are so much bigger ...

Burned C18 on my PA100-D
After running the PA100-D at 40m with about 7 Watts in G1? mode, some smoke came out of the unit. The culprit was C18 burned black. Any advice for a replacement?

Re: Build Environment ???
Hi,
Half of the job has been done. I was able to program the CPU with the hex file containing version 1.04 and bootloader. Then I updated to 2.00b.v4 without any hickups.Next steps are bringing the legacy code to live on the current dev environment.

Re: Problem flashing Firmware
Hi Adrian
The PICKit3 arrived yesterday. So I was able to program the CPU with the HEX containing software and bootloader. The update to V2b-04 was also very easy. I will start a new thread about porting your source to the new development environment.
Thank you very much for your support.

Re: Build Environment ???
Hi guys, Enhancing the firmware code, I have several obstacles to avoid. The development environment Adrian is using is no longer available for free. Compiling the code in the current free environment throws a lot of errors. As I'am new to Microchip hardware, I may need some help from the community ...

Re: Problem flashing Firmware
Hi,
I have the same problem with my new PA100-D. Software is 1.04. Holding the OPER button during power on only brings up a message to press SET to do factory reset (which BTN is SET?)
RS232 is working fine.
Sadly, that I have to buy a extra programmer to update the firmware

Build of my PA100-D near finished
Hi
Today my new PA100-D got powered up and everything seems working. Next is to set the bias currrent and do some testing with my M0NKA radio.

Re: Build Environment ???
I'am in the same situation as Bob. I want to run the PA in remote operation. It would be nice to read some status info over RS232 and show that on a webpage.
Maybe someone has already made some extension in the code?
