TRX2A Shaft 'wobble'
Found the shafts on the AF GAIN, RIT & CW SPEED potentiometers to be very 'wobbly'. If anyone else has noticed this, here's a 'cure'. Located some aluminum spacers on McMaster-Carr's website. Part number 94669A003, US$ 1.51 each. Six mm od, 3 mm lg & 3.2 mm id (clearance for M3 screw). Just remove ...

Re: Juma TRX2A - new purchase
Hi Kevin,
Congratulations!
You'll like the TRX2A! Tried to e-mail you some info on the kit, but it bounced back. Is the e-mail address on 'QRZ.com' valid?
Let me know and we'll try again.

Re: Lower output from 10W
Hi ya John! Have you considered a 50-ohm power attenuator? Ten watts in with a 6 dB attenuator and 2.5 watts out or 1 watt out with a 10 dB attenuator. As long as the attenuator is rated at 10 watts or better. I think suitable ones can be found on Amazon or E-bay for a reasonable cost. However ...

Re: Juma Kits (general)
Hey John, Whitney charged $25.00 for installing the chip, plus I gave an extra $10.00 for return shipping (USPS Flat Rate). As I said he does good work. Has done two of them (µ-processors) for me. One for the PA100-D and one for the TRX2A. If you decide to have him do the work, mention my call, ...

Juma Kits (general)
Anyone looking for assistance in soldering just one or two components (such as the µ-processor, etc.), should contact Whitney (N3ZV). He's listed as a 'builder' on the Juma web site, but he will take on 'single component' tasks also. He's done two of the 80-pin µ-processors for me. He dosen't charge ...

Re: I`m looking for a used PA100 analoge
Hello,
There is one (PA100 analogue version) for sale on www.qth.com
Go to that site, click on 'search', and enter 'juma'.
I think the price was in the range you were looking at.

Re: PA100-D
Smaller dot is the reference mark. N3ZV (Whitney) installed the µ-processor for me in my PA100, so we'll give him credit for that. I'll see if I can attach a picture of it. To me, it's a bit confusing . . . but . . . ??!! Something I did notice on the Juma web site was one of the pictures of the ...

Re: PA100-D
Hi Greg, You've got it right, nylon washer goes with Q3. Main board . . . nope . . . no step by step published instructions that I know of. If you just follow the order of the components on the parts list (the complete one on the Juma website) it'll work out well. Mainly smallest components first ...

Re: PA100-D Automatic Power On
Hi Bob,
Maybe put the jumper on J4 on the control board? But with the jumper in place, the PA100 can only be turned on/off via the power supply. Might be risky??
