Highly recommend not using the Chinese 2SC2879,white in color .
I bought maybe the last set Juma-100d, October 2018. The Chinese 2SC2879, which were in the set, lasted exactly 3 months.
I had to buy from e-bay final amplifier, from an old Kenwood TS-450, which work great, but are Toshiba.

I really have no other choice, do I? I bought a set on Ebay that was marked Toshiba, when I received them, they had not been matched like the vendor said and no doubt not Toshibas. They were returned. So I bought a set from China, China HG Semiconductor, factory matched. I do a lot of business with China and in the dark it is a crap shoot. At my company we actually qualify the suppliers and have made many factory visits. USA parts are 90% great. I would say China is the opposite 90% crap. We have a Chinese language purchaser and she frequently interrogates the Chinese suppliers. I know you can get world class product from China (so many USA parts come from there), the problem is sifting through the garbage. Wish me luck!
